Etosha National Park is among Africa's most significant wildlife sanctuaries — a vast salt pan ecosystem supporting lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, cheetah, and hundreds of bird species. Beyond Etosha, Namibia's wilderness extends into Damaraland — home to desert-adapted elephant and rhino — and the remote Kaokoveld, one of the least-visited wilderness areas on the continent.
